Founded in 2005, MetroFresh’s midtown location is still the heart and soul of our mission to deliver creative, delicious food. We always seek out the freshest ingredients, and maintain a commitment to using local, seasonal, and sustainable products when possible. Our constantly shifting menu reflects our inspiration, and offers diners an opportunity to discover unexpected new favorites.

MetroFresh offers the perfect antidote for the rushed, microwaved hockey puck. Every weekday, Executive Chef Bryan Kraatz, our own “Rockstar”, prepares fresh, delicious breakfast sandwiches and burritos, fresh fruit and juice, and hot house-blend coffee and tea. Sundays, 11am - 4pm
Our brunch offers the perfect opportunity to catch up with friends and family after church, stop in on your way to a movie, or even recover from Saturday’s excesses (it happens.)
Brunch at MetroFresh incorporates our daily selections of soup, salads and sides with two delicious and innovative entrees. We do one sweet dish (Stuffed Challa French Toast, Banana Nut Pancakes, Fresh Blueberry Crepes to name a few) and one savory Egg Dish (Roasted Vegetable Strata, Fried Egg over Grilled French Bread with Arugula and Roasted Tomato, Asparagus Eggs Benedict on Corn Bread Muffin). You may want to come with a crowd, so you can share.

The main meal at MetroFresh is a mix of healthy, hearty soups from around the world and right here at home: Shrimp Gumbo, Chicken Barley, Thai Coconut Chicken, New England Clam Chowder and our own Turkey Chili (or Mitchili, named for the Owner and head Chef Mitchell Anderson); light vegetarian soups like Garden Veggie and Tomato Basil, Caribbean Butternut Squash and Pumpkin Topped With Macadamia Nuts; combined with creative salads like Field Greens with Roasted Veggies and Parmesan Cheese, Marinated Kale with Balsamic Soaked Dried Fruit, and Crumbled Blue Cheese, our signature Veggie Trail mix, and traditional Caprese Salad; and artfully made sandwiches like All Natural Maple Honey Turkey and Havarti Cheese, Tomato, Spinach and Lo-fat Mayo on Cuban Baguette or The Veggie Lovers Dreamwich – Avocado, Tomato, Cheddar, Sprouts, Cucumber and Arugula on Multigrain Bread.
We like to keep things interesting but realize that some people like the familiar. Many of our most popular soups and salads return with frequency and we always make Mitchili – which is a MetroFresh Staple. There will always be some kind of Chicken Salad, a chilled Grilled Chicken Breast, and a Tuna Salad on the menu – but even these will change with the whims of the cooks!

Though lunch is indeed our busiest time at MetroFresh—and in fact our longest (we serve lunch items until closing, or until they just plain run out), in the evening we bring the lights down, light candles, and the fun really starts. We create first class dinners at tourist class prices! From Lobster Tacos to Pot Roast, from Seared Ahi Tuna with Mango Salsa to BBQ pulled pork, our dinner entrees are creative, fun, and worthy of the time out to savor them (either at the restaurant, or when you get home). Each evening we offer two entrée choices— one meat or chicken and one fish or vegetarian. We can serve you an elegantly plated Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Rocket Arugula, Cherry Tomatoes and Crumbled Point Reyes Blue Cheese or we can send you home with our own delicious and healthy Eggplant Parmesan with Fresh Mozzarella and Marinara Sauce. Many nights, we offer specials which are South Beach Diet friendly, combining high protein and low carb for a healthy meal after the gym. Dinner Entrees come with a cup of soup or a side and range in price from $10.95 to $17.95. We also have a selection of wines that pair wonderfully with either entrée or a hearty bowl of soup.
We strive to create enough variety in our daily menu to accommodate our customers with specific dietary restrictions or preferences. Many of our soups, sides and dinner entrees are vegetarian or vegan and we always will be happy to tell you which choices are Gluten Free. Our daily emails identify each dish’s dietary content with a clear set of abbreviations.
